August was a weak month for comics and graphic novels. Money-wise, as compared with July 2013, comics sales were down 15.30% and graphic novels were also down 24.55%. As compared with August 2012, comics were down 10.39% and graphic novels down 22.09%. Notwithstanding these numbers, the year 2013 is still panning to be a better year overall than 2012. Comparing Year-To-Date 2012 with 2013, comics are up 9.82% and graphic novels are up 6.59%.
